'Abdullah ibne-'Amr RadiAllahu 'anhu narrates:I heard Rasulullah SallAllahu 'alaihi wasallam saying:
He who has two habits will be reckoned by Allahas amongst the grateful and the patient.
And if he does not possess these two habits,he will not be reckoned by Allahas amongst the grateful and patient.
He who sees his superior in Islam and follows him,and sees one inferior in worldly thingsand then expresses his thanks to Allah, that out of His Mercy and Grace Allahhas kept him in a better state. Then Allah reckons him amongst the grateful and patient.
And he, who looks to his inferiors concerning religion, and looks to one superior in worldy riches, and expresses sorrow for getting less, then Allan will not reckons him as amongst the
grateful and patient.(Tirmidhi)
(Surah An-Naml, Chapter 27, Verse 19)
"O my Lord!
so order me that I may be grateful for Thy favours,
which thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents,
and that I may work the righteousness
that will please Thee:
And admit me, by Thy Grace,
to the ranks of Thy righteous Servants."
Aameen, Ya Rabb-ul-Aalameen!
